What to Expect
The ultimate goal of our worship services, classes, and everything else we do is to put the glory of Jesus Christ on display. You will meet broken sinners who have been transformed by the gospel gathering together to be built up by the preaching of God’s Word, to share life together through genuine fellowship, to pray together, and to encourage one another.
Expositional Preaching
The Bible is God's authoritative, sufficient, and inerrant Word, so we believe we must teach and preach every verse and even every word of the Bible. We also believe that we must preach what the original author meant, rather than what we want the Bible to mean.
Because of these convictions, we typically teach through whole books of the Bible rather than jumping from passage to passage or topic to topic. We are better able to understand the author's point when we understand the entire book in context. This is known as expository preaching, and we believe it is vital to the health of believers individually and the church as a whole.
WorshiP
As Christians, the time we spend corporately singing to our holy and loving God is a very precious time. It ranges from joyfully singing praises to Him, to humbly and gratefully pondering His unmatched grace. Although some churches use this time to cultivate an emotional response, we take a different approach. Theologically-rich lyrics are paired with music that complements the message. As we sing God-centered, Christ-exalting songs, the truth informs our minds, ignites our hearts, and engages our voices in praise and adoration of our creating, sustaining, and redeeming God.
At Immanuel Bible Church, the music portion of our worship consists of both hymns and contemporary worship songs. We understand that music styles are more of a preference, so we focus on the truths we are singing.
Sunday School
Our Adult Sunday School classes are designed to build up the body through digging deeper into God’s Word. Sunday School is offered at 9 AM followed by a time of fellowship before the start of the service.
Children
Children are very important to God, and to IBC so it is our desire to support you as parents as you train your children to love and serve Christ. We long for your children to not only know about Christ, but to know Him personally and choose to live lives that honor Him!
We offer nursery and Sunday School for children. We are committed to making sure your child’s experience at church is both enjoyable and safe. We consider it a privilege to partner with you in growing children who learn, love, and live God’s Word!
